As the fitness industry, we should be focused on the 88 per cent of people who are not active. At the end of the day I believe it is our mission to inspire people to live a better life.
The 24/7, smaller, more conveniently located gyms are an excellent addition to the fitness industry as they give more people the opportunity to work out at a time that suits them. This is a huge step toward satisfying member needs and a fundamental reason why Jetts has been so successful. In addition to being 24/7, with no lock-in contract services, our gyms have a very well-balanced, non-intimidating setup, offering cardio, strength (free weights and pin loaded), functional training and a stretch zone.

For most members, when Monday arrives they have no plan for their weekly exercise routine. They just start when an exercise pops into their mind, with no conscious idea of what they are training and when. Added to this confusion is the information overload being propelled by social media and digital platforms, where everyone thinks they are an expert in health and fitness.

This is where I believe Jetts excels, because our new design and programs focus on combating this challenge by connecting our offerings to the members’ goals. This is based on our fitness philosophy of inspiring people to live a better life.

For example, most people do not know what functional training is even though it’s been around for so long. There are many programs out there teaching people to move like animals and so on, and as humans we are designed to move really well. However, modern life has resulted in humans not hunting for food or running away from carnivores; instead, humans remain seated for several hours a day, either in front of a computer or TV or in a car.

With our functional programming, we focus on helping you to move better – in the way your body is designed to move. Each different functional program is based on a different goal, from burning huge amounts of calories to gaining strength or feeling a lot healthier, and all of this in less than 30 minutes. Our programs are based on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), but scaled for all levels from beginner right through to advanced. While it is still in the final stages of beta testing, it is proving to be very intuitive. It takes a member along their own fitness journey with a few logical steps based on what they realistically want to achieve.

This is what we believe to be the future of training 24/7. We’re really excited about it, and our members are loving it because they don’t have to exercise for hours to get a good result. They just need to know what they want to achieve, have a realistic and scientific plan on how they will achieve this and then the discipline to stick to their plan.
Success is inevitable.
